DOST-ICTO, LGU-Butuan to host the “Next Wave Cities ICT Roadshow 2nd Edition”

BUTUAN CITY, Aug. 13 (PIA) -- The Department of Science and Technology – Information and Communications Technology (DOST-ICTO), Caraga ICT Council, and the city government here will be hosting the second edition of the “Next Wave Cities ICT Roadshow” on September 19-20, 2013. 

This activity is in partnership with the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) and the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP). 

City Mayor Ferdinand Amante Jr bared there has been a dramatic surge in the development of Information Technology – Business Process Management (IT-BPM) industry in the country as seen in its exponential growth in revenues and in employment generation. 

It was also learned that the event will be attended by ICT professionals both from the private sector and government agencies, together with students, parents, local leaders and businessmen. 

Along with this activity is the conduct of ICT Presentation and Coordination Meeting on August 15, 2013 at the City Mayor’s Conference Room here. 

Said activity is anchored on the theme “Bringing ICT Opportunities to Countryside Filipino Talents”. (JPG/PIA-Caraga)
