By Susil D. Ragas

SURIGAO CITY, Sept. 3 (PIA) - The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Caraga Regional Office has intensified its support services to farmer beneficiaries through the implementation of Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) in the region.

The ARCCESS project is one of DAR’s Support Services Direction for 2011 to 2014 aside from enhancing the convergence of the rural development agencies such as Department of Agriculture (DA), DENR and DAR in partnership with local government units and non-government organizations and strengthening linkages with public-private partneship, said DAR Caraga regional director Faisar A. Mambuay during a radio interview over PIA’s Power FM on Monday, September 2 in Butuan City.

Dir. Mambuay also said that the project has five major components which include provision on common service facilities (CSFs) for production and processing, agri-technology and agri-extension services, business development services, credit facilitation, and land tenure improvement.

"The ARCCESS project is DAR’s strategic intervention to retain the awarded lands of agrarian reform beneficiaries and reducing poverty in the agrarian reform areas through increased production and engagement in agri-based and related enterprises," Mambuay added. (PIA-Surigao del Norte)
