Caraga Region Institute of Peace opens nominations for Peace Ambassadors Award

BUTUAN CITY, Sept. 13 (PIA) - The Caraga Region Institute of Peace (CRIP) through chair and executive director Rex Ybañez is accepting nominees for this year's Regional Peace Ambassadors Award which is set on September 30.

Ybañez said the CRIP will recognize 10 individuals across the region that has made an impact in their communities through their exemplary character and initiatives on propagating peace and human rights education.

"The award gives importance of the awardees' exceptional display of skills, knowledge and perseverance in attaining greater heights of achievement for the community, for the work place, for the church and for the school has served as an inspiration for others thus becoming a role model worthy of emulation," said Ybañez.

Ybañez further said that the nominee, regardless of sex and age, must be a resident of Caraga region who have proven track records on peace education or human rights advocacies.


Interested parties, individuals may email the narrative personal information of the nominee with emphasis on his/her (nominee’s) efforts on peace and human rights advocacies with the nomination letter on or before September 25, 2013 to cripcaraga@gmail.com. (JPG/PIA-Caraga)
