Examination set for Phil Army Applicants in Mindanao

BUTUAN CITY, Sept 5 (PIA) -- The Army Recruitment Center (ARC) for Mindanao, Army Personnel Management Center (APMC) is set to schedule a pre-written examination to those who wish to join the Philippine Army.

In a written information received from Col Virgilio Luna of the 29th Infantry Battalion (IB), the examination will commence on the following date and place of examinations: September 13 at the 30th IB Headquarters, Sta Cruz, Placer, Surigao del Norte; September 15 at the 3rd Special Forces Battalion headquarters, Lianga, Surigao del Sur; September 17 at the 401st Brigade headquarters, New Leyte, Awa, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur; September 19 at 402nd Brigade headquarters, Bancasi, Butuan City; September 21 at 403rd Brigade headquarters in Malaybalay, Bukidnon and September 22 at 52nd Engineering Brigade headquarters, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

The examination for Officer Candidate Course (OCC) applicants must be 21-24 years old and not more 29 years old for enlisted personnel, have completed at least one term in military service and a holder of baccalaureate degree and physically and mentally fit.

For Officer Preparatory Course (OPC) applicants, they must be 21-31 years of age; graduate of Probationary Officer Training Course (POTC) with reserve rank of 2nd Lieutenant, a holder of baccalaureate degree, single for civilian applicants and have completed at least one term in military service for enlisted personnel.

The qualified applicants for Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) must be 18-26 years old with 72 units in college. If an applicant is a high school graduate, he or she must possess a certified skill needed in the military service.

Applicants for the Philippine Army Aptitude Test Battery (PAATB) examination are required to bring the following: birth certificate from the NSO, Transcript of records (TOR) and Diploma for College Graduate and Form 137 for high school graduate, valid ID and one 2X2 picture.
